Social Media and You

How to Market Yourself on Social Media

Ok, we have talked about who you are as an artist. We have talked about how to stay motivated about yourself. We have gone over a few ways to get yourself out there as an artist. And now is the time to talk about the most important thing, Marketing!!

A lot of you guys already have the means to do great marketing. It's been right in front of you this whole time. You use it every day, and you are probably using it right now....your cell phone.

Your cell phone can do amazing things now-a-days. Most have a better camera in them than ones you can buy at a store. They capture video in HD. They are connected to the internet at all times. They are compatible with every application you could ever want or need. Cell phones are the new computers and everyone has one!! There is not a better tool for your marketing.

With a cell phone you can do any number of marketing technics: Video Marketing, Blogging, Photo/Print Marketing, Network Marketing, Email Marketing, and so much more. It's to easy TO NOT market through your devices. The means are there, you just have to work and put it together. Once again, your cell phone is always on you, so when you're out at an event; take pictures, shoot videos, FaceBook states what you are doing/where you are/who you are with, Instagram your product, Vine a short video for you fans/friends. There are countless ways to do this. You just have to be willing to work at it.

Now, I'm not going to tell you that it's going to work over night. It goes back to staying motivated about yourself. You have to push yourself to do more and more things. Marketing is everywhere!! No matter if YOU can't see it, other people can, and the internet is the biggest tool out there. But, don't get me wrong, you can't just get on there and start going crazy. You have to have a plan and goals about what you want to do and where you want it to take you. Once you figure out YOUR path, it's all about following the steps to get it.

There are a lot of sites out there for all types of stuff. I would suggest getting on all of them and blanketing the system. Some people would tell you otherwise. My goal is to tell as many people know about me as possible, so that's what I do. I try to make everyone I can see what I do by hosting a lot of personal social sites: FaceBook, Instagram, Google+, YouTube, Etsy, Twitter, Blogger, MySpace, Vine, etc. Try them all and see which works best for you. Find some for yourself, you never know what you can find out there that might fit your business perfect. This helps me to get a farther reach than I have been able to get before. I advertise on all these site to get traffic to and from all of them. I share my information through these sites and then to the world. Just depending on what your goal is, it's something to think about. More likes more shares on different sites ultimately equal more sales down the road.

My advice to you, for today, is to figure out what it is you want your marketing strategy to do for you. Once that is accomplished, you can then start making a step by step way to make this possible. It's all about one step at a time. Taking each step and making sure that you are focused on the prize. Stay strong and vigilant, your time is coming!!

How to Draw Human Head Outline

How to Draw Outlines of the human head Today we are going to be talking about outlines of the human head. Outlines are just guidelines that will help to structure out the image you want to paint, draw or create.   These fast structure sketches are just the framework for the final image. They are not to be taken very seriously, however, they are important to help your overall finished image. How many of you start off with an outline and find yourself spending more time on it than you think you should? How many of you worry if the outline is the right shape or size (proportion wize)? These are valid concerns but are ultimately not worth the stress.   Outlines are just the idea of your creation, not the finished work. Try not to spend so much time on them. Just get the idea out and on paper. When I was young, I asked my art teacher to help me with my outlining. If you are in need of help, I will tell you what my teacher told me. “Draw as many outlines as you can, as fast a
